Ear, Nose and Throat Care
We offer comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and throat conditions.
Ear
Our doctors have expertise treating patients with ear pain, ear drainage, ear itching, ringing and other noises in the ears, and of course hearing loss. Our clinical audiologist works closely with the physicians offering both diagnostic hearing exams and hearing aids. We commonly treat ear infections both medically and surgically. We can provide diagnosis and advice regarding family hearing loss and noise exposure. In appropriate situations we can provide in office steroid treatment for sudden hearing loss.
Nose
Our physicians have extensive experience treating sinus disease both medically and surgically. We offer endoscopic nasal examinations and state of the art sinus surgery. In-office CT scanning of the sinuses provides patients with efficient, cost-effective, and accurate diagnosis, discussion, and treatment of sinus and nose disorders. We are experts in surgical correction of nasal obstruction.
Throat
We treat many throat conditions including tonsillitis, voice and swallowing issues, snoring, sleep apnea, acid reflux and more. We offer in-clinic endoscopic exams to thoroughly evaluate all structures of the throat and voice box.
Head and Neck Cancer Care
Head and neck cancer is a serious and complex condition which requires specialized care from expert physicians. We specialize in the treatment of head and neck tumors including oral cancer, throat cancer, advanced skin cancer, HPV-related cancer, benign and malignant tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid and salivary glands.
Dr. Oxford, Dr. Lippert and Dr. Britt are board-certified surgeons who specialize in the most advanced treatments for head and neck tumors and other conditions. They trained at some of the country’s premier centers for head and neck specialties, and their research is published in top medical journals.
Dr. Oxford, Dr. Lippert and Dr. Britt work as part of a comprehensive cancer care team including speech and swallow therapists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists. Patients are discussed at Baylor University Medical Center Head and Neck Cancer Tumor Board, which brings all of the cancer experts together to discuss patients’ complex conditions and formulate the best treatment plan for each individual patient.
Patients concerned about cancer or recently diagnosed with a specific head and neck–related condition are often understandably very worried, and will find relief in knowing that our office makes every effort to accommodate same-day or next-day appointments. As a part of a major cancer care center, we provide access to testing, treatment and support services—including all necessary imaging and diagnostic services, post-treatment rehab and a team of physicians including radiation, chemotherapy and surgical specialists.
Audiology and Hearing Aids
We provide state-of-the-art hearing evaluations and hearing aid services including prescribing, sales, dispensing, fitting, programming onsite and maintenance. Gretchen Allen, AuD has a doctorate degree in audiology and has many years of experience in hearing, speech and language problems. We offer diagnostic hearing evaluations for people of all ages, conveniently performed onsite in our complete audiology suite.
